Work day at the Franklin house

Lots of stuff went down at the house today, the Van got worked on in the morning, then Mike came over with his new Chevy truck and went through and replace the drum brakes on his front end. Charlie came over too and got some welds redone and he fixed his electrical problems that he was having. I think we are all getting pretty savvy when it comes to this stuff, but special thanks to Rick for being there for all of us and answering our million questions. He makes shit happen!
Finally got the top end completely off of both motors
Went through and checked the valves for leaking, they were all good so no need to replace, but one cylinder needs to be bored out to fit new piston heads
Shes naked!
Both bottom ends with everything off, pistons included, wrapped towels around the connecting rods to keep stuff from falling in the tranny
Two kz750 engine top ends, side by side, one is going in the chopper and one is going in the cafe racer that i'm hopefully gonna sell

This thing is not light

Harley parts are expensive!

Thanks to Johnny Alfredo, I have a new carb on the way, got it for a good deal compared to what you might see on eBay. It should be here this week which means I'm finally gonna stop asking you if I can take your bike for a spin.

Next big purchase for my bike is gonna be this kick start kit... Gonna be hitting up the resources on this one. Help me Dave!

Then it'll be time to find a legit hardtail. I'm kinda looking forward to this winter for that reason!

Heading camping in the scout. This is before it started pouring as was still enjoyable.

Going 90 top down.

Mountain bound

Gone fishin'

It aint camping without a solid arrest.

This is when the convertable became not so fun.

Happy camper.

"it's my birthday I'll shoot the guns as late as I want!!!"

Donezo

Italian style

It definitely ain't no hog, but our buddy in California Kelly the Hitman Robertson just picked up this italian gem for $400 bucks.
1964 Lambretta Cento, recently restored, looking good.
Don't think many people follow this site but Kelly always hits me up on stuff he's seen on the blog, thanks for the support our old friend!!

Old chopper pictures

Buzzard

Terry the tramp

L.A choppers

Vampire Motorcycle

So there apparently a lot of vampire connections with motorcycling. Robert patterson is a vampire and he rocks a pompadour just like the old british cafe racers, and shit Brad pitt the OG vampire is always riding around on a Jesse James special.
Charlie, I know you'll like this one. Legit movie from Australia. so good.

Paint ideas... Mikey?

Thinking Lord of the Rings themed... Hmm, maybe like a big Gandalf on the tank. Like from the "you shall not pass!" scene...? I don't know, just trying to make my tank as sick as possible.

Haha actually saw this bike in Idaho springs this weekend. Click on this photo, you can see how rusty dudes chain was. Sketchy.... I could sit here and make fun of this thing all day, but this guy actually rode his bike this weekend and mine sat in a garage while I drove a passat around. Who's blowing it now?

I am backin' the spikey forwards though. As if Lord Voldermort on the neck didn't make the bike tough enough already.
