Gearing up for a new S&S Super E carb.

Here's Joe, and Joe IV standing next to my new bike when it was in the shop sometime in the last two years... It's got some carb issues which I'm sure are easily repairable but everyones been telling me to get a super e. And from the research I've done they seem to be the go to for people who actually wanna ride their Ironheads.

Big Joe hooked me up with this sick patch. The Dempsey family is doing a big ride to Cleveland and back right now in memory of Jake and another family friend of theirs who lost a kid too. Pretty rad to sit and talk with them about Jake, they just talk about all the trouble he would get into screwing around at the house in Eldorado Springs.

Couple of weeks ago at Love Thy Chopper they had a raffle and apparently I "won" this. Real convenient considering it's for the carb I'm planning on getting.

Shiny ass velocity stack and enricher knob. Thanks to Mikey and the other love thy guys.

Had Schwoegler AKA "prospect, intern, chopper steve, tough guy steve" or what ever you wanna call him track me down a manifold for the carb. He found one up in Greely so we headed up there and picked it up.

Tough guy had a harsh one the night before so he was a little green around the gills on the way up. But once we made it we were stoked. This gnarly old dude with an "SS" tattoo on his arm helped us out. He has been running this shop for 40 years. Pretty crazy. That's his bike out front, he was bragging about how he put 18,000 miles on it in one year... Super jealous.

He had the manifold in stock and we were on our way.

Now it's time to go clean the stock carb and see if I can ride the bike around tonight!

Picked up my new bike yesterday!

Took a while to get it going.

Then when it finally did it broke down. Needs a new carb...

Jumped it and made it to love thy chopper 5. Tried to let Charlie take a spin on it but it died and would not start back up.

?

Had to cart it out in JG's van... Bummer, but considering that yesterday was the first time it moved in two years, I'd say I'm lucky I even made it to the show.
